Thank you...and a summer residency at Pittsburgh Society for Contemporary Craft! May 11, 2014 21:06

Thank you so much for everyone that made Open Studios a huge success! I had so much fun talking with all of you and showing you what I've been up to lately in the studio! I would not be here without you, and for that I am incredibly grateful! I wanted to take this opportunity to share my excitement with all of you who have supported me so much: I just officially accept a residency opportunity at the Pittsburgh Society for Contemporary Craft for this summer! So excited! It felt like fate when I received a call a few months ago gauging my interest in partaking in this amazing opportunity. I was seriously sitting in the studio, drawing my childhood home on a mug, and thinking about how much I missed home...when the phone rang. Fate indeed. I will be producing a line of work with the local area as the focal point - the Strip District. It is similar in many ways to where I have my studio in Fort Point - as it is being developed very rapidly. My work will document that development...and the amazing history of the area. I'm excited to show you what I come up with! Stay tuned! And if you happen to find yourself in Pittsburgh this summer, please do stop in and say hello! And thanks again...so much! You made this possible! I get to live at home again in the house which I've probably drawn a million times! xoxo Nicole
